AM5 Motherboards Announced - Absolute Power

 

AMD has used the AM4 platform for a long time, however, it presently affirms that it intends to resign it and continue on to the new AM5 stage.

On January 4th, 2022, AMD confirmed the upcoming Ryzen 7000 (Raphael) CPUs, coming with the new AM5 socket. Later at Computex 2022, numerous AM5 motherboards were announced. The Ryzen 7000 will support three chipsets:

Coming towards Asus, the brand has announced 5 motherboards.

• Asus Prime
• Asus Tuf Gaming
• Asus Proart
• Asus ROG Strix
• Asus ROG Crosshair

However, the names and designs of the motherboards are not final.

As always, Asus is perfect.

Gigabyte Motherboards

Gigabyte has also confirmed four X670 AM5 motherboards

These motherboards include:

• Aorus Extreme
• Aorus Master
• Aorus Pro AX
• Gigabyte Aero-D

Although they all are flagship motherboards, they come with the X670 chipset, not the X670E variant.

Other Motherboards

Other motherboards with AM5 sockets include ASRock X670E Taichi and Biostar X670E Valkyrie, but certainly, there are more motherboards on the way.
