Nubia Red Magic 7S series - A Worthy Opponent for the ROG Phone 6

 

Nubia Red Magic 7s and 7 Pro are said to be released on the 11th of July, 2022. Red Magic also released the official rendering of the phone, showing the stunning exterior of the device. Its design is identical to the previous Red Magic 7 Pro.

 

The Red Magic 7s series phones come with a glass back and aluminium frame. The back comes with a semi-transparent, futuristic design which looks straight out of sci-fi movies. On the back, an RGB fan is available to cool the device. The back also shows that it comes with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, delivering insane processing power.

The Red Magic 7s/7s Pro will come with a Dual-Sim option. It comes with a 6.8 inches FHD+ AMOLED Display with 120hz refresh rate, 1 Billion colours and up to 600 nits brightness. It also features an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 12MP 1080p under-display selfie camera which may deliver decent image quality.

The device comes with three storage options:

• 128GB
• 256GB
• 1TB

However, it does not have memory card support. It also comes with (up to) 18GB RAM. It features the 4nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 1x 3.19 GHz core, 3x 2.75 GHz cores, and 4x 1.80 GHz cores. It also comes with Adreno 730 GPU. It features the Andriod-12-based Red Magic 5.0 operating system.

The Red Magic 7s features a triple-camera setup with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. It supports video recording in 8K 30fps. 4K 60 fps and 1080p 240fps. Despite being a flagship, it still offers a headphone jack. 

Currently, we have no information about the dimensions or weight of the device. The phone features a 5000mAh battery and 165 W fast charging through the USB-C port.

Conclusion 

The Nubia Red Magic 7s/7 Pro is a beast of a gaming device. However, as a gaming phone, it lacks some features like side-triggers. In comparison to other smartphones in this category, it could be a little bit better. It could have a 165hz display, dual USB-C ports for ultra-fast charging, and could have more than 5000mAh of battery. Still, it is a great phone with the latest and cutting-edge technology.
